Poem "Mermaid's Greeting"


Even though I unpublished my double-length speculative poetry collection, I refuse to let my poetry fade away entirely. My plan now is to regularly share/re-share works from that collection until I've shared every single one online.

Here's the first: "Mermaid's Greeting" (not previously published in a zine or anthology). 

Mermaid's Greeting

Glad greetings and salutations
Sent o'er fair lands and wide oceans
To wish your future travels be
Upon safe road and calm blue sea.
May pearly songs enchant your day,
Granting luck wherever you stay.
Sweet voices sail o'er waves and hills
Quelling all storms and bitter ills.
